Ny ID policy
i SAS
Times change, also for SAS. Sometimes
for better and sometimes for worse. Whatever times there
might be, the importance is to see the possibilities!
For many years, SAS has had a very
extensive ID-ticket policy. This also means a policy with
complexity that requires a lot of support in the whole
production chain (from the understanding of the handling
agents, the stations to Inventory Management and all the
technical systems). The current situation of the travel
industry, and most likely the future situation, has forced
SAS to reduce costs, become more effective and up-to-date,
also in this area.
For tickets purchased January 1, 2003
and onwards, there is a new SAS ID-Policy for all
employees and retirees within the SAS Group on SK/KF/BU
The new SAS Group ID Policy descibed below will until
further exclude WF.
The new R1 ticket described below, R1 HP, has the same
bookning, waitlisting and acceptance rules as the former
R1-50 (R1PJ) on SK, but the price is lower. For systems
reason, as this former R1-50 with current fare is still
valid on other airlines, we had to give the ticket a new
name.

SAS Group
We have a new organization. There is no longer a question
of Scandinavian Airlines and "the others". It's
the SAS Group.
We are all striving in the same direction, having a common
goal: - A profitable SAS. This will also be reflected on
our ID Ticket Policy, which also has to be simple enough
for both people and technical systems. The New ID Ticket
Policy is valid for:
SAS Airline |
SAS Trading |
SAS Commuter |
SAS Cargo |
Air Botnia |
SAS Flight

Braathens |

SAS has, compared with other airlines, a
very high level of service with the concept ID Help
Yourself, with automated ticketing system, ticket machines,
SAS ID Travel in the Portal for planning and listing/booking,
and ID Helpdesk with a call center during Scandinavian
office hours. Listing on other airlines is also available
on the Internet: www.flyzed.com. We have plans to make SAS
ID Travel accessible for employees from external PC's,
which will provide 24-hour service. In order to keep and
enhance this service in SAS current economical situation,
it is necessary that users will contribute to the cost of
the service.
Changes may be hard to put up with, but
can also mean something good.
- 2003 changes in the travel policy
for travel on SAS (SK/KF/BU):
Equal benefits for all employees in the SAS Group
Travel Partners and Children 25 years of age and over,
will receive same ticket types and prices as employees.
Please note that these tickets will not be available
via the ID ticket machines before primo february.
Until then they must be ordered via your local ITA
office.
30% lower price than today for R1 HP tickets
The annual quota of ID00 tickets is discontinued
Fixed-term contracted employees will stand equal to
employees on permanent contract
- 2003 changes in the policy for
travel on all airlines.
ID-tickets will be valid for 6 months, except when
leaving SAS.
A Service fee of USD 4,50 will be charged on all
ID tickets in order to cover costs for the ID Service.
This fee will be refunded in full on unused tickets,
but not on partly unused tickets.
We hope that all employees and their
travel companions will continue to have fantastic
experiences through our ID ticket policy.
